Abstract :
A new polarimeter model, based on time-varying birefringence caused by piezoelectric-controlled fiber-squeezing plates, is presented. This model turns to be low-cost, for it uses few components, and broadband, since it can be adjusted to work in all single-mode fibers wavelength range.
