Abstract
We present in this paper a design approach of modeling and synthesis discrete-event modules of hybrid controllers by combining a model of computation and a soft computing synthesis approach. The model of computation is based on colored Petri nets (CPNs) and the soft computing method uses Fuzzy Logic. Our approach converts Petri Net Models into their equivalent Fuzzy sets for Rapid Prototyping on microcomputers or programmable Logic based modules. The central issue of this paper is the implementation of discrete event controllers using crisp membership functions of fuzzy logic.
