Abstract
A novel synthesis approach for chaotic synchronization applied to secure communications is presented in this paper. The plaintext is first ciphered using symmetric encryption and then it is masked with a chaotic signal generated from logistic map. In the proposed scheme, fuzzy logic with gray prediction is employed to design the observer gain of the receiver for synchronization of logistic map. Since the fuzzy controller is robust, it can restrain effects of different initial values and variant system parameters between the transmitter and the receiver. Furthermore, the concept of gray prediction is introduced to promote the performance of secure communication. Computer simulations illustrate that the cipher text could be recovered to original signals via chaos synchronization.
