  • Abstract
    The calibration of a semiconductor optical amplifier simulator, based on ASE (amplified spontaneous emission)-power measurements is presented, within the optical response simulation for a pre-pulsed-step current injection technique. Good agreement was obtained between experimental and theoretical curves, suggesting that the calibration works properly.
