Abstract :
A brief general introduction to the numerical simulation of optoelectronic devices (based on amorphous silicon and similar materials) is developed into a detailed description of numerical simulation program ASPIN. The evolution of ASPIN from the late 1980\´s to the present is presented. Its main features are described and complemented with a simulation example of a p a-SiC/i a-Si/n a-Si heterojunction solar cell. Details of the implemented numerical methods and models are given. In the near future, ASPIN could become publicly available via remote Internet access through our Web site "http://lsd.fe.uni-lj.si".
