Abstract :
We demonstrate 100 GHz-spaced 40×43 Gb/s WDM transmission over 2540 km of SMF fibre in a terrestrial configuration, with combined erbium and Raman amplification and a standard NRZ format. All channels perform better than the enhanced FEC limit.
