Abstract :
In this paper, progress of the theoretical study for miscellaneous types of laser propagation is presented, among which the following topics are included: the X-ray beam propagation in plasma medium and the electron density gradient effect therein, and its application in the electron density measurement of laser produced plasmas; the propagation of ultrashort pulsed laser beam in free space without using the paraxial approximation and the pulsed Bessel beam solution and the related the so-called spatially-induced-group-velocity-dispersion (SIGVD) effect; and the ultrashort intense laser beam propagation in plasma channel.
