Abstract :
This paper presents results on comparing SRS properties of tungstate and molybdate crystals under excitation with nano- and picosecond laser pulses. In the steady state case with nano and subnanosecond pump pulses, BaWO4 crystal exhibit one of the highest Raman gain close to that in Ba(NO3)2 crystal. For SRS under excitation with 15 ps pump pulses PbWO4 and PbMoO4 Raman crystals were found to be most efficient for SRS.
