Abstract :
Using the fuzzy clustering approach, this paper studies the problem of state identification of road traffic. Firstly, the traffic characteristics of road network are analyzed in fuzzy theory view. Then the basic steps of traffic state identification are designed based on the fuzzy clustering method. At last a demonstration is given founded on a throughway traffic data of China. The result shows that the fuzzy clustering approach is promising for the dynamic identification of road traffic state.
