Abstract :
Railway Ministry of China has started to research on how to set up China Railway Geographic Information System (RGIS). This paper researches the position of China RGIS in China Railway Informationization Plan, indicates that China Railway Informationization Plan is a hierarchical model and China RGIS should be the infrastructure and share platform for all China railway information systems. The whole framework of RGIS, including logic frame, data diagram, communication network structure and application modes, are studied in this paper. Based on the China railway industry´s cooperative application mode and its distributive and hetero-structural characteristics of data and application, this paper puts forward a share platform with component mode and distributed cooperative structure to implement RGIS.
