Abstract
This paper shows the relationship between the output efficiency and the magnetizing inductance of the isolation transformer for active-clamped converters. By analyzing the operations of the active-clamped circuit, the magnetizing inductance of the isolation transformer can be determined theoretically to raise the output efficiency of these converters. The design criteria of the magnetizing inductance are also verified experimentally in this paper.
