Abstract :
In this paper a novel high frequency step-up transformer linked full-bridge soft-switching phase-shift control scheme DC- DC power converter with ZVS and ZCS bridge legs is proposed. A tapped inductor filter is used in the presented soft-switching converter to achieve wide load variation range soft-switching PWM operation under constant frequency, to minimize circulating and idling currents. The principle of operation with steady-state circuit analysis for each operation mode is illustrated in the fullpaper. The practical effectiveness of the proposed soft-switching DC-DC power converter is verified by the experiment with 1 kW 100 kHz breadboard using power MOSFETs. The actual efficiency of 94-96% was obtained for the wide load variation range.
