Abstract :
We incorporate transmit power allocation (PA) with layered space-time equalization (LSTE) for wireless MIMO systems in frequency selective channels. A so-called EQ-BER PA scheme is investigated, which aims at equalizing the BERs for all data streams. Simulation results show that EQ-BER PA can provide significant performance enhancement over the uniform power (UP) case in a wide range of RMS delay spread and at a high SNR. Intensive performance analysis is provided, of BER performance and signal detection ordering for LSTE with PA.
