Abstract :
A new approach for improving the dynamic response of the DC motor speed with separate excitation is presented. Based on the VSC (variable structure control) theory, the dynamic response of linear switching function is much faster by introducing the nonlinear switching function. Simulation result showed that the dynamic response is greatly improved by using sliding mode VSC controller, and error in the steady state is zero.
