  • Abstract
Echo hiding is one of the prevailing techniques in audio hiding. Current available echo hiding techniques still have some drawbacks, the detection ratio is relatively low, the simple echo hiding scheme causes unpleasant coloration when echo delay is relatively long, so they need further polishing. To enhance the detection ratio, we propose using power cepstrum instead of the original auto-cepstrum in that power cepstrum is more effective in the presence of noise. We also present techniques using simulated annealing to resist de-synchronization attacks. Computer experiments are performed to test the validity of the proposed schemes. Simulation results show that the proposed detection scheme can enhance the robustness of information decoding both in closed loop and when the echoed signal is attacked.
