Abstract :
An introduction of lifting wavelet transforms is presented in this paper. An approach for detecting infrared target is proposed based on lifting wavelet transforms (LWT). Firstly, infrared image is deposited by LWT. The edge information of the infrared target image is kept in LWT domain. Four wavelet decomposition components are processed. Secondly, infrared image is constructed by inverse LWT. Finally, the infrared image is filtered. The target is detected by two-norm image. The multi-targets is segmented by using the method. The experiments show that this approach achieves quite satisfactory results.
