Abstract :
Incorporating a framework from multivariate statistical theory, analytical results for the performance of (he downlink and uplink of multicarrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) in presence of correlated Rayleigh fading are presented. Complete generality is maintained by assuming no specific form for the covariance matrix of the desired user and interference. Statistical independence amongst subcarriers is considered only as a special case. The analysis is exact in the sense that the conventional Gaussian assumption is not invoked on the multiple access interference.
