Abstract
In this paper we present the analytical average bit error probability for space-time block codes on fading channels. The analysis is carried out by using the moment generating function method. It is shown that for slow Rayleigh fading channels, the average bit error probability can be expressed in a closed form. Numerical results are presented for space-time block codes with various numbers of transmit antennas and modulation sets. It demonstrates that there is a good match between the analysis and simulation results.
