Abstract
This paper investigates the conversion and linearity properties of Single FET resistive Mixers versus bias using an LTCC technology implementation, as aimed for High Linearity, Low Conversion Loss applications in the 1-2 GHz range. Owing to a utilisation of a key circuit technique and the balanced combination of integral LTCC passives and discrete SMD components, IIP3s in the 35 dBm region are measured while retaining very low Conversion Loss and miniature size. As such the reported LTCC FET mixers present state of the art IIP3/CL ratio in the 1-2 GHz range at an attractive size/cost package.
