Abstract :
In this paper, we present a novel adaptive incremental redundancy (AIR) scheme. Conventional IR transmits new packets with a fixed rate. Our AIR scheme adjusts the original transmission rate and coding method according to the channel condition. Simulation results show that the throughput and the number of retransmission are improved effectively.
