Abstract :
This panel presentation will focus on how in Mexico the regulatory and legal changes have modified the way investment in generation is made. A brief introduction of the evolution of the Mexican electricity sector, supply responsibility and investment statistics on generation will be given. The presentation will also describe the restructuring options that are being considered to cope with the foreseen supply problems in the future.
