Abstract
This paper presents new nondivergent constant Jacobian Newton power flow methods. Both coupled and decoupled Jacobian versions have been developed. The nondivergence feature of these methods is achieved through application of optimal multiplier theory for step size adjustment control. In order to verify the effectiveness of these methods results for four IEEE test systems, two Indian power systems and a famous 11 bus illconditioned distribution system have been obtained and compared with those obtained with the corresponding versions of the conventional power flows.
