Abstract
The zero structure of an n-D polynomial matrix is defined and the invariance of this structure is determined with respect to a particular transformation of n-D matrix equivalence. Consequently various zero structures within n-D polynomial system matrices and n-D MFDs are identified which correspond to previously defined pole and zero structures. These structures are established as invariant with respect to a system matrix transformation which has elsewhere been shown to play a fundamental role in certain important problems in n-D systems theory.
