Abstract :
The aim of this work is studying controllability of 2D and 3D Navier-Stokes systems, controlled by degenerate (in few low modes) forcing. We use methods of geometric nonlinear control theory to establish sufficient criteria of: i) controllability for Galerkin approximations of 2D and 3D Navier-Stokes systems; ii) controllability in finite-dimensional projection for 2D Navier-Stokes system; and iii) approximate controllability for 2D Navier-Stokes system.
