Abstract :
In this paper, an optimally weighted ESPRIT algorithm is studied for parameter estimation of damped signals. The algorithm brings in a variance reduction of 1-2 dB to the ESPRIT, and more importantly, almost achieves the Cramer-Rao bound (CRB). The performance of the OW-ESPRIT is investigated through both numerical computation and simulations.
