Abstract
A single phase SRM simultaneously uses the magnetic fluxes of axial and radial direction. Therefore, the energy density per unit of volume is high and the axis can be shorter than that of any other motor type. We experimented with speed, torque, and efficiency of trial model to make SRM be used for low speed motor at places being narrow and hard in maintenance. In this paper, we propose the structural characteristics of a single phase SRM design, the present conditions of a driving circuit development, and present study results.
