Abstract
The nodal force method has been used to calculate electromagnetic force and torque produced by switched reluctance motor. This method can easily calculate the local force as well as the global force with the same accuracy as virtual work method. And local force analysis is very useful for SRM to reduce the vibration and noise. Furthermore, the global force and torque can be calculated accurately with the least effort using this method.
