Abstract :
The main cause of transformer failures is the partial discharge (PD). On-line monitoring for partial discharge (PD) is an important research aspect. This paper presents a new kind of IIR digital filter formed in the digital signal processor of on-line monitoring system. The filter has a faster operating speed and needs a less memory than FIR filter. Also the paper compared the performances between the IIR filter based on DSP with FIR filter.
