Abstract :
The space vector PWM control for multiphase permanent magnet synchronous motor drive system is very complex and difficult. In this paper a simplified but efficient control scheme is presented after thoroughly analyzing the space voltage vectors of the twelve-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor. In this scheme only 24 large vectors and corresponding zero vectors among 4096 vectors are selected to implement the space vector PWM control. This scheme can remarkably reduce the switching loss, however an ideal control performance can be obtained at the same time. The analysis results are confirmed with matlab simulation.
