  • Abstract
    The dynamic model with hysteretic nonlinearity for magnetostrictive actuators was founded according to the Jiles-Atherton hysteretic model, quadratic moment domain rotation model, nonlinearity piezomagnetism equation and actuator structural dynamics principle. The output displacement for a magnetostrictive actuator has been calculated. It is found that the calculating results are in a good agreement with the experimental ones. This indicates that the dynamic model can describe the relation between the input current and output displacement for the magnetostrictive actuator.
