Abstract :
In this paper a new real-time monitoring method for synchronous generator will be presented. The methodology described in this paper, implements a floating point digital signal processor (DSP), a multichannel analog-digital (A/D) converter and a personal computer to measure and monitor load angle, terminal voltage and current and phase angle between and generated active and reactive power of the synchronous generator in real time without using any sensor. An easy graphical user interface has been designed for PC. Experiments are carried out for the system and results demonstrate the effectiveness of the method.
