  • Abstract
    For the evaporation cooling horizontal motor, a 3 dimensional axial symmetric model is established. FLUENT is used to research the flow characteristics in the air-gap. In the condition of high speed rotating, Taylor vortex filled in the air-gap and in the meridian direction, the size of Taylor vortices increases linearly according to the width of the air-gap. The speed field´s characteristics are explained in this paper. A instrument for experiment is established corresponding to the computational model. The speed of air comes from the air-gap has been measured.
