Abstract :
A new Internet email system, called downemail, is proposed to resolve the structural weakness of email systems based on a recipient mailbox. Under the downemail system, original message is stored at a sender mailbox instead of recipient one. The performance for mailbox space and message traffic volume is also evaluated.
