Abstract :
In this paper, a new scheme developed to reduce the peak to average power ratio (PAPR) of an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system by using parity checking and linear systematic block coding. The first step of the proposed scheme is to use parity check methods to reduce the peak power by more than half . The second step is to create a polynomial generator matrix from a Galois fields, and then to use a linear binary block code set, multiplied by the matrix, to generate an m-ary set of linear systematic block codes. Finally, the m-ary set of linear block codes is mapped into an M-ary set of block codes to produce a final PEP distribution. The results of this mapping reduces PAPR of OFDM. The principle of the scheme is illustrated by the specific example of an eight-carrier OFDM system. The future development of this scheme involves verify the capability of set of the linear systematic block set of codes to detect/correct errors.
