Abstract :
There has been a lot of researches for ad hoc multicast. Tree-based scheme cannot cope with network mobility due to frequent tree reconfiguration. Also, mesh-based wastes unnecessary resource due to delivery along multiple paths. In this paper, we propose to use a relay system to handle network mobility efficiently with minimal resource. In our scheme, the data packet is transmitted in the form of unicast from one member to other members on application layer as long as unicast route remains. Thus, it can not only minimize the effects of network mobility, but also bring about low control overhead. Such advantages are evaluated specifically through the results of the simulation.
