Abstract
The time-frequency behavior of high-order harmonics is analyzed using the spectrogram method to obtain the optimum condition for attosecond pulse generation. A criterion for the optimum bandwidth of high-order harmonics is obtained to generate the shortest attosecond pulse under given condition. We obtain a single 48-as pulse using harmonics from He.
