Abstract
We observed quadrupole-shaped oscillation in the cross section of a liquid jet ejected from an asymmetric orifice by analyzing the diffraction patterns. We also observed directionality of scarred mode lasing emission from quadrupole-deformed cavities formed by the liquid jet containing dye molecules.
