Abstract :
An all-optical switching in a fiber-optic grating coupler (FGC) has been demonstrated using a mode-locked EDF laser with a EDFA at 1.55 μm, which induces Kerr nonlinearity in the grating region of the FGC due to cross-phase modulation.
