            Abstract : 
A novel organic waveguide laser amplifier based on azo-polymer (Poly-Orenge-Tom1) thin film with DCM laser dye doping is presented. The optical grating couplers based on light-induced relief hologram were formed on the film, and their optical coupling efficiency was ∼1.1%. The waveguide amplifier exhibits an effective gain of 0.5 cm-1 for waveguide mode.
