Abstract :
Dynamics of the dissociative ionization of ethanol in an intense laser field has been studied by changing the linear chirp rate of the intense laser pulse. The relative yields of fragment ions exhibit strong dependences on the chirp rate. Since the direction of the chirp does not influence the relative yields, the temporal pulse duration is considered to be a key factor for determining the branching of the reaction pathways.
