Abstract :
A new architecture of adaptive equalizer for fast Ethernet applications has been introduced. In this architecture, Sign-Sign LMS algorithm is adopted which efficiently compensate the twisted pair transmission loss and diminish forward Intersymbol Interface; Mix signal circuits are used for implementation which greatly reduce power loss and chip area by eliminating high speed AD converters and digital multipliers.
