  • Abstract
We present a stimulation system composed of a subcutaneous implantable stimulator and an external controller. It performs selective and continuous stimulations for bladder voiding and its hyperreflexia reduction. A flexible selective stimulation and a measurement technique to monitor the electrodes-nerve contact are proposed. All stimulation parameters are sent wirelessly by an external controller and stored in a RAM. The modular architecture of the design makes the device an expandable multichannel stimulation system. The stimulator has been designed and fabricated in the CMOS 0.18 um technology. It has been tested and its functionality proven.
