  • Abstract
The great majority of spinal-cord-injured patients, patients subjected to long immobilization time periods or patients having venous blood circulation disorders or affected by the chronic haemolytic anaemia are prone to develop different diseases, among which ulcers are quite common. The treatment of theses types of ulcers may include various drugs and even surgical procedures and new techniques have been introduced in patients resistant to conventional therapeutic methods. Results obtained for the application of noninvasive electrical stimulation in patients of different hospitals are presented. The results support the criterion that electrical stimulation is effective in accelerating the healing process of ulcers.
