            Abstract :
We propose a novel coding strategy to improve the error probability performance of non-linearly distorted orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals. This coding strategy is based on the reduction of the intermodulation distortion (IMD) of the non-linearly distorted OFDM signal rather than the reduction of the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of the non-distorted OFDM signal. Numerical results demonstrate that OFDM systems relying on IMD reduction coding perform better than OFDM systems relying on PAPR reduction coding in the presence of non-linearities.
