Abstract :
The Internet is a fixed network where IP addresses are used as the identifier of nodes as well as for routing purposes. The convergence of mobile networks and Internet is expected since traffic from mobile nodes could reach the point to be the main source of Internet traffic in the future. This document aims at describing an advanced mobility management scheme that could make convergence between mobile networks and the Internet a reality. The scheme takes into account several key requirements for next generation mobile networks such as: location privacy, route optimization, small overhead, etc.
