Abstract
This paper describes a non-invasive approach for a combined flow profile and mass measurement of powdery solids. Due to the combination of the two signals, the mass flow in the pipe can be determined. The measurements are both based on changes of capacitive coupling and use one single common evaluation circuitry resulting in a cost effective device. Results from simulations and measurement from experimental setups are provided.
