Abstract
A fast and accurate probe compensated near field-far field transformation technique with spherical spiral scanning, which uses a minimum number of data, is developed in thin work. To this end, a nonredundant sampling representation of the probe output voltage on a spiral and an efficient interpolation algorithm are developed. By choosing the elevation angular step of the spiral coincident with the sample spacing needed to interpolate such a voltage on a meridian, it is possible to reconstruct the data required by a properly modified version of the classic probe compensated near field-far field transformation with spherical scanning.
