Abstract

Height-gain measurements are very few especially in built-up areas. There is no existing relationship of height-gain in term of the type of antenna used and on the multi path fading observed. Measurements made in NTU and other locations confirm that the height-gain is different in different locations and depends on the local clutter, ground reflection and on the environment surrounding the base station antenna. In high rise HDB (Housing Development Board) estates, height loss is observed.
