Abstract :
It is necessary to apply the bandwidth efficient SSB (Single Side-band) modulation scheme to DS-CDMA in order to increase the capacity of mobile communication systems with the limited bandwidth resources. Balanced QPSK DS-CDMA signal with SSB is generated using inphase PN code and its Hilbert transformed quadrature PN code. And Tx diversity scheme is added to this SSB/DS-CDMA for the performance enhancement. The simulation results show that the capacity can be increased with the same performance as DSB/DS-CDMA.
