Abstract :
The Wavelength Division Multiplexing/Sub-Camer Multiplexing Fiber To The Home (WDWSCM FTTH) using the SCM and WDM technologies is an advanced optical access nehvork to efficiently suppori subscriber traffic in the near future. Many end stations connected to optical SCM modems dynamically share data channels behueen optical SCM mcdems and an Optical Gigabit Exchange (OGX) in the WDWSCM FTTH. Therefore the appropriate channel allocation mechanism should be required so that both traffic demands of users arc satisfied and channel utilization is maximized at the same time. In this paper, we make a description of the development platform of a WDWSCM FITH including its overall configuration and switching control functions. This paper also provides the dynamic and on-demand operations of bandwidth and Quality of Service (QoS).
